Dear All,

1. Due to the ongoing threat posed by the spread of the Coronovirus (COVID-19), we regret to inform that all IGU Tournaments and Events ( NGAI Refresher Courses, Rules schools etc) including the Zonal and Feeder Tour events, which were scheduled to be held in March and April, 2020 have been postponed with immediate effect.

2. The decision has been made after considering the latest public health and travel advisories announced by the Indian Government, as these new measures significantly impact and prevent the conduct of our forthcoming events. The Government of India has also decided to invoke provisions of Section 2 of the Epidemic Disease Act - 1897. Under this act, any person disobeying the act shall be deemed to have committed a punishable offence under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. We will continue to monitor the situation in respect of health and travel advisories issued in this respect and probably reschedule the events later this year, which will be intimated to all in due course of time.

4. We convey our best wishes to all our stakeholders to stay healthy and safe during this very difficult time, that our Nation and the World is facing.

Regards,

The Indian Golf Union
